I haven't posted on my actual blog in a while. Not much is goin on as has been the case for a few months. Califur is no longer going to be a event I go to, keep having someone cancel or something when I need to go down. Screw it. I'm not bothering. It's a shitty con anyway. As a result, I'm... happier I don't have to stress about the trip. Oddly enough. Now at least I can get down there for a week and only have to visit a few people instead of relying on well... quite honestly random people so I have a place to stay in gaps. Looking forward to at least Folsom/Dore Alley and getting some more things I really want before looking for a job again. Not a whole lot to update really, been on an emotional rollercoaster of feeling useless, not worth anything, ugly as sin (well, I've never felt THAT ugly per se, I've just been modest), to feeling great about myself, and I look sexy to I can do worth something worth half a damn. So many small projects I want to get done, but no idea how to do them. I've done a few photo shoots in the past few months, those are fun. If anyone wants to see them that hasn't, contact me. I'm on twitter now, btw. I rather like being able to tweet what's goin on and have that sort of be a microblog as that updates to my livejournal as well. An odd thought I have off and on is that I wish Mervyn's didn't go out of business, I liked getting my clothes from them. Now I'm not quite sure where to get my clothes from... hrm. I need to find an American Apparel store near me. Sexy clothing HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

So this was a nifty thing I was told about... (I promise this isn't a spam post) The Snow Leopard Trust (www.snowleopard.org) is hosting a fundraiser to benefit snow leopards and you can help too! All you have to do is sign up for their eNews letter--simple, right? For every person who signs up, $2 will be donated from the Kearsley Fund to the Snow Leopard Trust, for a maximum of 3,000 new subscribers! What does that mean? By simply signing up and spreading the word, you can do a small part to get $6000 donated to the Snow Leopard Trust, which has been working to preserve these animals in the wild for over 25 years. The number of subscribers has recently doubled from 400 to 800, due to a large part of people spreading the message over DeviantArt. And then this notice was posted to FurAffinity... so I'm just makin a post to see who else might sign up for this. So, spread the word and sign up for the news letter! There's no cost to you! In exchange for a few moments of your time, an email address and hopefully telling a friend, you can help the Snow Leopard Trust! Snow Leopards are a large and secretive cat native to the mountain ranges of Central Asia. There are an estimated wild population of 4,000 to 7,500 animals left, and in 1972 the Snow Leopard was placed on the Red List as Endangered. They are still illegally poached and their habitat is slowly diminishing, but they are a good candidate to survive if steps are taken. The Snow Leopard Trust works to help the big cats by protecting their environments and involving local communities in this effort, while also researching snow leopards. They believe the best conversation starts with good science, and through understanding this elusive predator, we can do better to save them. So donate $2 for free! Among all the talk of wanting to impeach the dumbass we have as a president, I came across this video, which I found particularly touching on aspects that are happening. It's eerie hearing speeches/skits from previous times in history that so accurately describe what is happening to us today. Right now, right here... our nation. Falling apart. I think I'm going to start looking into what it takes to impeach our president. Who's with me and many others? There's power in numbers.

Well, I'm back from my trip to Sacramento to see my Pet Syke. It turned out very well, realized I need to travel very badly and that I'll finally be able to do it soon. SoCal next time, and I have a small little list of people I'm gonna see. Locations to visit include: San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, San Diego, Lancaster, Fullerton, and Irvine. It should be much fun, many pictures will be taken, and much needed exploring shall be had. Places/Niches I've never been and so on. I've got some new pictures of me up on my Picasa Gallery while I was on Amtrak. Wow, what a week will do to facial hair. In other news, Fang and I broke up... Sad, but true. Now it's in the open. I dunno if I'm really depressed about it anymore... we seem to be better friends than boyfriends. That's just about all I want to say about that. Fucking people getting me addicted to music... Kel got me addicted to the song "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" by Morrissey (Incredibly sad song but very pretty), and then I found out (through Syke) Anberlin did a version of the song, so I checked their music out. I LOVE IT! I've also decided I should get into better shape. So I'm going to probably start some form of cardio workout (jogging/fast walking or jump rope) and some ab crunches and push ups for good measure. Wanna build up my arms and get rid of my belly. Silly thing I notice as Kel sorta sleeps next to me here on the couch. In my blog, it has a random song line every time I refresh the page, and when I happened to log in this time "...It's so nice to have you back where you belong..." was displayed. It's good to have him back. So tired... Should probably sleep soon. I miss random visits from people. Today was a pretty good day. I participated in shutdown day. For those of you who don't know... Shutdown Day. It's an awesome idea. Operating out of the tiggytop atm, desktop is still shut off. Will post more about my day later, along with pictures. Still trying to figure out whether I want to use my Gallery or Picasaweb for keeping pictures up and displaying to all. Any ideas? Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Concerns? One final thing...
